The 2015 Canada Winter Games Return From Sherbrooke
The 2015 Canada Games team has officially returned from Sherbooke and are excited, educated, and ready to take the lead as the next Official Host Society.
“Sherbrooke really set the bar high, which makes us realize how much detail and work will be put into the 2015 Canada Winter Games,” says Mandhi Graham, Executive Assistant & Board Liaison for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
The Transfer of Knowledge program will help the 2015 Canada Winter Games team achieve a memorable experience for all who participate in the 2015 Games.
“In Sherbrooke the team worked very long hours, starting with mission staff meetings at 7:00 am, the Transfer of Knowledge program at around 9:00 am, venue tours, individual meetings and planning for our VIP event and participation in the Closing Ceremonies,” explains Graham.
“There’s a whole process of information and planning that a Host Society needs to go through, but on the ground being able to see things first hand is really when that light bulb goes on,” says Patrick Kenny, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Canada Games Council.
With all eyes now on Prince George and the 2015 Canada Winter Games, it’s time to show the nation we’re ready to host.
Release of 2015’s Newest Video
A new video for the 2015 Canada Winter Games was premiered at the Closing Ceremonies of the 2013 Canada Summer Games. It was featured on the TSN/RDI Broadcast and shown live to the thousands attending the event.
The video features local athletes from Prince George who are age-eligible to compete in the 2015 Games. The athletes were both the actors and provided feedback to create the next part of our 2015 Games story.
