Team BC volleyball will play for bronze medal

Team BC Men’s volleyball team took on Team Ontario at the Investor’s Group Athletic Centre in semi-final action. This match determined who would go through to the gold medal round.

In a very tight first set, Michael Dowhaniuk (Surrey) lead Team BC with excellent serving. There were many lead changes and the set was tied at 17-17. BC took over to win 25-19.

Team Ontario took an early lead 7-3 in the second set. Team BC fought back to tie at 24-24 before losing the set 26-24.

Team Ontario took the third set 25-16 putting Team BC in a must win scenario.

Down 16-9 in the 4th set, Ontario eventually won 25-13.

After a tough loss Coltyn Liu (Vancouver) said that they will regroup and go for the bronze.

Team BC play for a bronze medal Saturday 2:39 at IGAC.
