Team BC Recognizes Coaches
Team BC hosted a reception yesterday to thank all of the outstanding coaches who have dedicated their time to the Team BC program. The development of British Columbia’s athletes relies on the commitement of coaches and staff alike. The 2013 Canada Summer Games have been a success for Team BC thus far with a total medal count of 27 as of August 8th.
“Recognizing the accomplishements of our coaches at the Games is very important to us” said Rob Needham, Team BC Chef de Mission. “Coaches are critical to Team BC’s ongoing high performance success. Many coaches volunteer their time and are away from their families all for their passion for sport and developping BC’s athletes. We are ever so grateful for our coaches’ ongoing support and dedication.”
For many athletes and coaches, the Canada Games represent a goal along the way to what they hope will be success in sport at major multi-sport Games including Olympic and Paralympic Games.
