Team BC Launches Refreshed Brand and Website

Team BC has launched a whole new look and feel as we prepare for the 2015 Canada Winter Games – the first time British Columbia has hosted the Canada Winter Games.

“When we assumed responsibility for Team BC from the Provincial Government, we felt it was good timing to review the brand positioning and refresh the look and feel of the program,” said Kelly Mann, President and CEO of the BC Games Society.

Team BC has always been about building champions and representing the province in the best way possible at Canada’s premier multi-sport Games, the Canada Winter Games, Canada Summer Games, and the Western Canada Summer Games.

But, being part of Team BC is an experience that athletes, coaches, and mission staff never forget.  The team always has an intangible west coast outlook and positive approach that shows on and off the field of play.

“We wanted to capture and convey the feeling behind what it is like to be part of Team BC,” said Lia Threlfall, Communications Manager.  “Every day at the Games there are moments where we see passion for sport, belief in our team, and the pride of representing our province.  These are the moments we live for.”

Team BC’s new tag line, We Live for This, captures the emotion of both glory and defeat on the field of play but, also the energy of the team at Pep Rallys, the honour of walking into the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and the elation of athletes cheering loudly for their Team BC teammates.

TeamBC.org has been redesigned with a focus on news, social media, and resources and will be the hub for information before, during, and after the Games.  Also follow Team BC on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr and YouTube.

Team BC Brand
It’s a metaphor
a destination
and a journey.
Winning.
#Fail #Try-again
#Try-harder
#Try-one-more-time!
Because if you don’t leave everything out
there,
you leave everything behind.
We play hard…
for our families,
our friends,
our piece of dirt here on the right side of
the Rockies.
We play to honour our past.
We play for our future.
We play for that one glorious moment
on the court, on the field,
on the podium and in the stands.
We are Team BC
And we live for this
