Team BC adds two more bronze medals in tennis
Team BC won a pair of bronze medals Saturday morning at the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club in men’s and women’s doubles play.
The duo of Aaron Diemer (Victoria) and Jovan Sihota (North Vancouver) beat Alberta in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. On the women’s side, Yasmin Mansouri (West Vancouver) and Sasha Vagramov (Port Moody) got off to a slow start, dropping the first three games before bouncing back to take control of the match against Alberta prevailing in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
BC completes the tennis tournament at the 2017 Canada Summer Games with three medals.
Yesterday, BC won the mixed team silver medal in tennis.
