Target shooting competition comes to a close for Team BC

By Heather Beatty, Team BC Mission Staff

Today marked the last day of competition for Team BC target shooters with the 10m air pistol event. Dakota O’Donovan (Merritt) and Brian Ng (Langley) who won a bronze medal in Tuesday’s men’s team event, shot today as individuals.

Ng tied for eighth with a score of 522.  With only eight spots in the finals, his final position was determined by the number of times he shot what is referred to as an x, which is a score of 10.4 or higher.  Unfortunately, Ng shot two x’s and the other shooter had four, bumping Brian to a ninth place finish.  O’Donovan improved his score by 14 points to finish in 11th with a score of 518.
