McKenna Colthorp (Kelowna) is sitting in fourth after the novice women short program.  Colthorp’s teammate and training mate in Ajsha Gorman (Kelowna) is sitting in eighth.

Novice pair team, Tessa Jones (Victoria) and Matthew den Boer (Victoria) are currently in fourth place after the short program and are looking to improve on their placing going in to the free program.

Novice ice dance team Ashlynne Stairs (Burnaby) and Lee Royer (Burnaby) skated two great pattern dances and are currently sitting in fifth place.
