Prince George’s Purden Ski Village was the site of the first Giant Slalom Para Female race in the Canada Winter Games’ Alpine skiing event on Monday and it turned out to be a golden opportunity for 14-year-old Mel Pemble. 

The Victoria skier raced her way to the top of the podium in her first contest of the 2015 Games.

For the second time in two days, Victoria’s Bryden Hattie won a silver medal in diving at the Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg. 

Team BC moves to consolation round in women’s soccer

Final score: 2-2 in Tuesday evening play against Nova Scotia, but Nova Scotia wins on penalties 5-3. Team BC now pursues a top five finish at the Canada Games.
