Team BC plays for gold in mixed team tennis

The sun was back out on Thursday for a long day of tennis at the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club for Team BC at the 2017 Canada Summer Games.

It was another stellar performance for Team BC swimmers at the Pan  Am Pool in Winnipeg Thursday evening.

After round three, Team BC is sitting in second in the team standings behind Quebec.  Alicia Lau is the leader going in to the final round of individual play and Tristan Mandur is tied for third.

It was another bronze medal performance for Victoria’s Jay Lamoureux at Birds Hill Provincial Park Thursday in men’s cycling at the 2017 Canada Games.

Team BC and Team Ontario have joined forces to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg with a donation of more than 400 new and gently used running shoes.

Team BC prevails in both games today and will face Team Ontario in the semi finals. 

Team BC welcomes West Coast weather and produces another 11 medals

Team BC got a taste of home with rain falling for much of the day in Winnipeg.  While tennis and canoe kayak were cancelled, Team BC continued play in all other sports with the swimmers tallying another 11 medals in the pool. 

Another two wins for Softball to remain undefeated

Team BC softball had two close and hard fought battles today against Team PEI and Team Manitobal but picked up two more wins to remain undefeated in the tournament.

Another successful evening for Team BC in swimming

Swimmers won 11 medals on Wednesday: three gold, five silver and three bronze, pushing BC’s total to 27 medals after three days of swimming at the 2017 Canada Summer Games

Three wins for Wrestling to start team competition

Team BC started team competition in wrestling taking wins in each of three matches for both men and women.

Team BC men’s and women’s volleyball were in action finishing up round robin play to determine the medal rounds.

Soccer takes important win over Team Nova Scotia

The first rainy day of the 2017 Canada Summer Games offered the BC men’s soccer team a chance to claim a 3-1 victory over Nova Scotia. 

Wet day for round 2 of Golf

With typical west coast weather making an appearance in Winnipeg, the Team BC golfers were able to finish the second round of play after significant morning delays.
