Mission Staff Monday – Stephanie Rudnisky

Stephanie is… you guessed it – a Team BC Mission Staff ROOKIE! (Once again, who is in charge here??) Stephanie is currently the Manager of Youth Programs and Special Events for Basketball BC and the JR NBA Ambassador for Canada Basketball. In Red Deer, Stephanie will be working on the Sport Mission Staff representing Wheelchair Basketball and Squash.

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
(OKAY PLEASE… finally a Harry Potter quote. This is a dream come true!)

Stephanie has held several positions in the sport sector with organizations including Canadian Blind Sports, BC Deaf Sports, Volleyball BC, Field Hockey BC, and Boxing BC. (SPORTS!)

Fast Facts about Stephanie:

For a new adventure and to be surrounded by passionate people! (it is an infectious bunch!)

What was the best Halloween costume you ever had?

Harry Potter – duh! (again – YESSSSSSSSSS)

What movie or TV show title best describes your week?

The Walking Dead (I am not familiar, is this a family comedy… )

What advice do you have for Team BC athletes heading to Red Deer?

Embrace the moment, meet as many people as possible and be proud that you get to represent BC!

When you are not working, how do you like to spend your time?

With my puppy Molly (Molly is also dominating the photo stream on your phone I have heard!)

Stephanie attended the University of British Columbia where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 2011, she completed her Masters’ Degree in Sports Administration and Technology at the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. Stephanie volunteers for many non-profit organizations including KidSport and attended the TO2015 Parapan American Games as the Volunteer Sport Information Director for the Goalball venue.

Stephanie is another rookie with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share in Red Deer. We are truly lucky to have her as part of our team! GO TEAM BC!
