Team BC names Mission Staff for St. John’s 2025 Canada Summer Games

VICTORIA – Team BC is proud to announce the Mission Staff who will support British Columbia’s athletes, coaches, and managers at the St. John’s 2025 Canada Summer Games from August 8 – 25, 2025.

The Mission Staff team is led by Chef de Mission Eron Main and Assistant Chef de Mission Brianna Davey, who were named to their roles in May. Mission Staff are assigned to one of three areas – sport, special events, or communications – and work together to provide administrative, logistical, and performance preparation support.

“We had a record number of applicants for Mission Staff this year. Our leadership team is thrilled to welcome 19 passionate and skilled individuals into the fold,” said Main, who has attended three Canada Games as Mission Staff.

“It is so rewarding to watch B.C.’s athletes perform at the Canada Games and know that you were a part of the team that helped them succeed. Working at the Games is a wonderful opportunity to grow as a sport leader. We look forward to ensuring that our Mission Staff have a safe and unforgettable experience.”

Comprised of volunteer sport administrators, educators, sport performance experts, and communications specialists, Mission Staff provide a wide range of services to Team BC athletes, coaches, and managers leading up to and during the Canada Games.

The Canada Games are held every two years, alternating between winter and summer and are a key step in the development of Canada’s amateur athletes. The last Summer Games were held in Niagara, Ontario, in 2022.

The Mission Staff team is beginning preparations now and will work for the next 13 months to ensure Team BC is ready for the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
