Judo golden again!

After a golden first day at the Western Canada Summer Games, Judo did just as well on the second day of individual competitions.  Judo won four golds, one silver and one bronze.

“The way I stay  focused before competition is by tuning everything out and listening to music,” said Ario Nishimura.

These are some wise words from a Judoka who took home the gold in the -81kg category.  Judo will now move on to the team competitions starting Monday, August 10 starting at 10am.  The other gold medalists were: Alicia Fiandor -57kg, Isabelle Harris -63kg, Kelsey Painter, 70+kg.  The silver medalist was Geoffrey Hanks in the -73kg division and Tristian Alexander in the 81+kg.
