Flag Bearer Alex Brent is excited to get paddling

Alex Brent, Team BC flag bearer is excited to get the Games started.  Brent was honored to be named flag bearer for Team BC at the Games and didn’t believe it at first that he was selected.  “I thought they were joking at first,” said Brent.  He found out just before traveling to Portugal for a competition.  Brent is enjoying the Games so far and said, “The athlete village is amazing and the food is top notch!”  Brent who has been to a few Games, including the BC Summer Games and the Canada Summer Games and is very impressed with things so far at the Western Canada Summer Games.

Brent will lead Team BC into the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games tonight at 7:30 at Shell Place.  Competition begins early tomorrow morning at Snye Park.
