Beach Siblings excited to get the Games going

20 athletes and three coaches from the wrestling team arrived today in Fort McMurray. This team was so excited to be here today they even scheduled a practice on arrival day.
Arrival day in Wood Buffalo was very eventful for the tennis team.
The team was warmly welcomed at the airport by Team BC mission staff, Western Canada Summer Games volunteers, a DJ and of course Games mascot Mistiko.

23 Team BC and BC Games alumni are representing Team Canada at the Parapan Am Games in Toronto including 16 athletes and seven officials.
In just two weeks, Team BC will march proudly into the Opening Ceremony of 2015 Western Canada Summer Games wearing the colours of their home province.
A contingent of 427 people make up Team BC and they are ready to compete against the best in the west at the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games. Canoe Kayak athlete, Alex Brent, will be Team BC’s flag bearer for the Opening Ceremony.
BC Soccer had selected the male and female athletes to represent Team BC at the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games.
Team BC and Mi KIDS Fort McMurray have forged a partnership to provide children in Fort McMurray with access to sport. During the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games, Team BC will provide a cash donation to Mi KIDS.
Cycling BC has selected 10 athletes to complete for Team BC at the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games in Wood Buffalo, Alberta.
