BC Women win three games Thursday

The women’s softball team won all three games Thursday at Syncrude Athletic Park.

The first game was against Team Manitoba in a nail-biter, with a score of two to one. The teams were tied in the seventh inning and had to go to extra innings for BC to get the win. The final score was 2 – 1.

“We managed to pull through at crunch time, especially since they got a run, we knew we had to play hard,” shared Jordan Britten-Yung from Richmond, BC.

The second game was against Team Saskatchewan, the girls from the prairies fought hard the last inning scoring five runs, but it wasn’t enough.  BC won 11 to six.

The skies darkened, but the rain held off.  The final game of the day was against Alberta with the Team BC ladies winning in the eighth inning nine to six. The ladies take to the field on Friday against Saskatchewan at 10am.

GO TEAM BC!
