BC Soccer names Men’s and Women’s teams for Canada Summer Games

Vancouver BC, July 14, 2017 – The BC Women’s and Men’s Soccer Teams for the 2017 Canada Summer Games have been selected. The Women’s team is a mixture of Whitecaps FC REX in partnership with BC Soccer players and EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League players.  The Men’s team are all players from the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League.

“Preparation for the Games is going well and every day we build towards our first match on August 7 as right now that’s our main focus, said Luca Dalla Pace, Team BC Men’s soccer Head Coach. The boys are looking forward to travelling to Winnipeg for the Games and are very excited to be a part of this great event and we have no doubt in our minds that the city of Winnipeg will be great hosts.”

 Team BC Men’s soccer matches kick off on August 7th at 4:30 (CDT) with an opening match against Saskatchewan. They finish their group stage on August 9th at 4:30 (CDT) vs Nova Scotia.

 Team BC Women’s soccer kicks off their competition on July 28th at 4:30 (CDT) against Newfoundland. Following that match they take on Alberta at 4:30 (CDT) on July 31st. 

Both the Women’s and Men’s soccer matches will be played at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex in Winnipeg, Manitoba. All matches will also be streamed here: http://sportscanada.tv/canadagames/ and select matches will be on TSN!
