Baseball knocked out of medal contention

Baseball was knocked out of the medal rounds this morning as they went down to Ontario by a score of 3-1.  As has happened all week, errors in the field plagued them in a critical error, with a throwing error on a bunt attempt extended Ontario’s rally in the third inning, which resulted in all three of their runs. BC put the tying run on 1st base in the final inning, but failed to convert.  

Declan Dutton (Vancouver) was on the hill for BC, and threw well going six strong, giving up five hits and just one earned run.  Jayden Knight(Langley) turned around on a heater in the fifth inning to give BC it’s lone run.  

Team BC will now play Quebec for the third time this tournament to decide 5th and 6th place.  First pitch is 11:00 AM at Whittier Park
