Badminton BC names Canada Winter Games athletes

Badminton BC has named the Team BC athletes who will compete at the team and individual events at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alta.
After an extensive qualification period from August to December 2018, five male and five female athletes were chosen to represent Badminton BC. The team consists of a mix of athletes who are currently active and some who are returning to competition.
“Phyllis Chan and I are excited to work with this diverse team of athletes for the Games. As we have personally worked with many of them before, we look forward to everyone working together especially for the team competition, a rare experience in badminton. The Canada Games has been an influential milestone in our own badminton careers as athletes, so we really hope our athletes will get a positive experience as they continue on their own pathways,” said Toby Ng, Team BC badminton coach.
