Who are Mission Staff?
Mission Staff are volunteers from across the sport, recreation, health services, and communications sectors who provide support to the Provincial Sport Organizations, athletes, coaches, and managers leading up to and during the Canada Games. These key volunteers provide support in the areas of operations, special events planning, sport management, and communications.

Chefs de Mission
Each contingent at the Canada Games is led by a Chef de Mission and Assistant Chef de Mission, volunteers who are tasked with helping to lead and set the direction for their respective provinces.
The Chef de Mission is the volunteer team leader for the Team BC contingent and Mission Staff. In consultation with the Team BC Operations Manager, the Canada Games Council, and the Host Society, they help coordinate the overall direction of the contingent’s participation in the Canada Games.
The Assistant Chef de Mission is the second-in-command and serves as designate in the absence of the Chef de Mission. In addition to sharing duties with the Chef de Mission, the Assistant Chef usually is responsible for many administrative components of preparation and planning for the Games.
