Team BC ladies undefeated in curling after day one

Team BC’s first game of the competition was today against Team Nunavut. They started the game with an exchange of stones and back-to-back blank ends. Team BC was first on the scoreboard with a hit to score three points. In the fourth end, Team Nunavut was forced to take a point but in the fifth Team BC pulled ahead with a big score of four to take a 7-1 lead. Team Nunavut tried to get back in the game with a score of two in the sixth, but Team BC pushed back with a score of one in the seventh and two in the eighth. The final score was 10-3.
In their second game today, Team BC took on Team North West Territories. They started off the game with a similar strategy, blanking the first three ends, followed by a score of three points in the fourth end. Team North West Territories blanked the fifth end and Team BC stole one in the sixth. Team North West Territories got their first point in the seventh; however, Team BC took another two points in the eighth, followed by a steal in the ninth. Team BC would take the game 8-1.
Team BC is off to a great start and hopes to get stronger as the week progresses.
