Team Yukon no match for Team BC curlers

By Heather Beatty, Team BC Mission Staff

Today Team BC took on Team Yukon on the ice.  In the first end, Team BC scored two points and from there they stole away the next four ends to go up 9-0.  In the sixth end, Team Yukon made it onto the scoreboard and would steal another point in the seventh.  Team BC took a point in the eighth end to make the final score 10-2.

Experience was a big factor in winning today’s game.  Team Yukon is made up of girls that are fourteen and younger, whereas, Team BC’s players are between 15 and18 years old.  Playing a less experienced team can sometimes cause you to lose focus, but Team BC kept their heads in the game.  Unfortunately for Team Yukon, they struggled with the ice and Team BC was able to capitalize on their mistakes.

Tomorrow Team BC goes up against Team PEI and Team Ontario.
