Team BC figure skaters had a great final day of competition on Thursday at the Kin I Arena.  McKenna Colthorp (Fort St. James) had an impressive free skate and won the bronze medal in novice women.  Colthorp’s teammate, Ajsha Gorman (Kelowna) had a strong free skate and moved from eighth to sixth in the overall standings.

The novice pair team of Tessa Jones (Victoria) and Matthew den Boer (Victoria) skated an entertaining number to place fourth in the competition.

Ashlynne Stairs (Burnaby) and Lee Royer (Burnaby) were fifth going into the novice free dance and delivered an amazing skate to capture the bronze medal.

Brian Le (Delta) brought down the house with his western themed free skate, winning the bronze.  Le’s Teammate, Benjam Papp (Burnaby) skated an amazing free skate, including landing two clean triple toe loops, and ended up fourth.

Special Olympian Stephanie Divin (Surrey) won the bronze medal in ladies level 2, while her teammate Emily Walzak (Victoria) placed fifth.
