Tennis Team arrives in Wood Buffalo

The first day in Wood Buffalo was very eventful for the tennis team that arrived today.

The team was warmly welcomed at the airport by Team BC mission staff, Western Canada Summer Games volunteers a DJ and of course Games mascot Mistiko.

Even a broken down bus could not dampen the team’s spirits, as it was all part of the adventure. The rooms and food at the athlete village definitely were worth the trip from the airport! Fantastic!

The team is ready to start the competition and join in with the rest of Team BC for the pep rally and opening ceremonies on August 7th.
