Team BC Volleyball book tickets to gold medal matches

The men and women both faced off in the semi-finals against Team Sask. It was a tail of two stories for each team, the men had an easier road to the finals. The men won in straight sets over Sask 25-10, 25-23, 25-19. The team had one of their best games of the competition with strong passing and complete play by the team. The men will now face off against Team Alberta who they lost to in round robin play.

The women had a battle against Team Sask going to five sets. The two squads faced off in the round robin with Team BC winning in straight sets. Tonight though Team Sask came to play and put up a fight. Team BC stormed out to a 2-0 set lead winning the first set 25-13, 25-23. Team Sask would not go down without a fight though winning the next two sets in nail biting fashion 25-22 and 25-23.

The fifth set was a back and forth affair with both teams trading points back and forth. Team BC came out on top winning 15-12. Team BC will take on Team Alberta as well in the finals who they also lost to in round robing play in five sets. The teams have played each other in the past with Alberta holding a 2-1 edge in matches.

The Women take the court at 10:30 am on Sunday followed by the men at 12:30 pm.
