Synchro BC announces 10 athletes to compete in Red Deer

Synchro BC is pleased to announce the artistic swimming athletes who will represent British Columbia at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.

Representing four of the five national stream clubs in BC, the ten athletes selected to the 2019 Canada Winter Games Team include:

Daisy Vasquez of BC Aquasonics will train with the team as an alternate.

Susan Kemper will lead the team as Head Coach with the support of Assistant Coach, Jennifer Koptie, “I am really thrilled to be able to share the Canada Winter Games experience with this professional group of young ladies”, said Kemper.

The team has been selected through a comprehensive and aggregate selection process that started more than a year ago. “The commitment of these athletes and their families is a testament to their passion and love of our sport,” remarked Jennifer Keith, Executive Director of Synchro BC. “Their dedication is sure to be rewarded with a successful Games. We will be cheering them on from all corners of the province.”

The athletes now enter their final drive to prepare for the Games with a very comprehensive training schedule that brings them together for nine camps in the twelve weeks leading up to their departure for the Canada Games in February.
