Team BC gymnast wins Pan American medals

Team BC alumni Shallon Olsen (Surrey) stepped on the podium twice at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. The gymnast won a silver medal in the women’s team event and a bronze medal in the vault. Olsen was Team BC’s closing ceremony flag bearer at the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

Nathan Hirayama (Richmond) helped the Canadian rugby 7s team to a silver medal finish. He competed for the 2005 Canada Summer Games in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The 2019 Pan American Games continue until the Closing Ceremony, August 11, 2019.
